The Bristol Hotel celebrates its 80th birthday with art

An 80 year anniversary with Godon. If throughout the year the hotel tries to be a little different whilst trying not to disorientate its guests and still making them feel welcome, then it has gone to considerable effort this year to achieve this for its 80th anniversary

By marking the event by working with Alain Godon, to whom Emmanuel has given carte blanche . The result here in the hotel is the unveiling not only of new works (powerful compositions as cheerful as they are colourful humorously depicting the seaside resort), but also the execution of an outstanding publicity event. The patio holds a monumental temporary installation, a sculpture in the form of an Eiffel tower in sand, which is a reference to the dispute between Paris and Le Touquet over the Paris-Plage affair; art is being used here as a means to “reconciliation and intelligent accord”. An Alain Godon exhibition on the theme of “Paris at the beach”.
