Before it spread throughout the rest of the world, the birthplace of Art Deco was the 1920s of Paris. In the 1930s and 40s Miami gave it its own “Streamline Moderne” style. The buildings use pastel colours with floral and aquatic decorations and evoke the nautical designs of the great ocean liners.
