Le Touquet : Bernard Buffet

An artist who pulls at the heartstrings and without the headache (Alain Godon acted as intermediary for the staging of the Bernard Buffet exhibition)

How it does a power of good from time to time to go to an exhibition and to leaving without a headache, which doesn’t mean to say without food for thought; Bernard Buffet is not as transparent as he may seem. He puts his finger, indeed his brush, on the core of our loneliness. He gets us thinking. […] The opening of the Bernard Buffet exhibition was last Saturday. In attendance were two of his children and representatives of the Fonds de Dotation Bernard Buffet , heir of the Maurice Garnier Gallery exclusively devoted to the works of the artist. Also present were the art critic, Lydia Harambourg, and the artist Alain Godon, who was instrumental in arranging for this exhibition to be staged in Le Touquet.
