And how about taking in some art this weekend?
T hey are mostly to be found on Le Touquet’s busiest streets, they’re really quite attractive and with a large clientele. Who are they? Le Touquet’s art galleries.
Places that appear to many to be elitist but which are places that serve as a meeting place for art, the artists and the public. Godon is currently exhibiting at the Fardel Gallery: “It is a point of discussion for everyone and a discovery of the artist and of the gallery; it’s not for an elite. In any event, people who buy a work of art are never the real owners. Even I don’t own my own paintings, they belong to the public.”
The Fardels agree, “We’ve been in Le Touquet for over 50 years and we exhibit national and international artists as well as young sculptors or photographers; we open our doors to everyone.”
