They braved the wait for Godon
The crowds were phenomenal on Sunday afternoon at the launch of Alain Godon’s exhibition at the museum, an event to mark the centenary of this all-year resort. More than 1,300 visitors turned up to meet the artist Alain Godon. Not just the “Touquettois” themselves, but also fans from the entire area around Montreuil arrived in the hope that they would leave with Alain Godon’s special centenary edition book “Extravaganza” tucked under their arm and, of course, with a dedication from the artist. You needed to be patient just to catch sight of the Le Touquet artist, who has now become an international star. Alain Godon, who spends his time between Europe and the US (he currently has an exhibition in Miami), has achieved success over the last few years, as those who came to Museum of Le Touquet were able to attest.
