Homage to Miami Artist Alain Godon
Oil paintings with a Lust for Life, Love and Laughter Alain Godon whose work is currently on exhibit at Markowicz Fine Art is a figurative artist whose oil paintings tell a colourful story of life and love.
He uses city scapes, people and architecture as his muse, especially Miami Beach. “When I arrived at the Art Deco District, I immediately knew that Miami would be an integral part of my art. This place has real dimension and inspires a sense of wonder that has greatly influenced my creativity”, said Godon. […] And the effect is startling (and realistic) with exaggerations of form and fantasy. Much of Godon’s recent work relies on his love and admiration for Miami. “Everything here is surprising from a simple parking lot filled with luxury cars to the incredible plastic people. The subjects – and inspiration – for an artist like me are inexhaustible! The paintings are now automatically part of my globetrotting album… Long live Miami!” said Godon.
