Homage to Miami Artist Alain Godon

Oil paint­ings with a Lust for Life, Love and Laugh­ter Alain Godon whose work is cur­rently on exhibit at Markow­icz Fine Art is a fig­u­ra­tive artist whose oil paint­ings tell a colour­ful story of life and love.

He uses city scapes, peo­ple and archi­tec­ture as his muse, espe­cially Miami Beach. “When I arrived at the Art Deco Dis­trict, I imme­di­ately knew that Miami would be an inte­gral part of my art. This place has real dimen­sion and inspires a sense of won­der that has greatly influ­enced my cre­ativ­ity”, said Godon. Much of Godon’s recent work relies on his love and admi­ra­tion for Miami. “Every­thing here is sur­pris­ing from a sim­ple park­ing lot filled with lux­ury cars to the incred­i­ble plas­tic peo­ple. The sub­jects – and inspi­ra­tion – for an artist like me are inex­haustible! The paint­ings are now auto­mat­i­cally part of my glo­be­trot­ting album… Long live Miami!” said Godon.
