Four hundred works of art are competing today for the third Alain Godon Trophy

Who will succeed Jean-Baptiste Dumont and Sugoee? Around four hundred works of art are on view today in Le Touquet. In the Palais de Congrès: paintings and photos; in the town hall: sculptures and installations. The public is also invited to vote. To win the Alain Godon Trophy is quite something: €10,000, a two week stay for the artist in Martinique, an exhibition with other artists in Miami, etc. The jury comprises artists, curators, art dealers and not to mention Patrick-Olivier Picourt of the Mercure hotel chain and patron of the Festival and Frédéric Thiriez, President of the professional football league … The result is to be announced at 4pm this afternoon at the Palais du Congrès. These works form an ephemeral museum completely free of charge.
